How to Apply

Applicants must complete and submit the ROSL Annual Music Competition Application Form and send it with the required documentation and fee to the address on the application form. Please keep a copy of submitted repertoire and retain prospectus for reference.  Applications are not accepted via email.

Deadline for applications: 15 January 2010

Referees

Applicants must nominate two musicians of standing who have agreed to support their application and who ROSL ARTS may approach for references.  Non-UK competitors may include one written testimonial from a musician of standing in lieu of one of the referees.

Documents

The following documents should be sent with the application.  Applicants are advised to send photocopies as no documents will be returned.

  • A photocopy of a birth certificate or simular official document confirming the candidate's date and place of birth
  • Typewritten curriculam vitae, with particulars of training, scholarships, prizes and recent concert appearances
  • A short biography (200 words) suitable for concert programmes

Fees

Soloists £20

Ensembles £20 per group

Cheques payable to ROSL/Major credit cards accepted

In the event of a candidate not being accepted, the entrance fee will be refunded in full.  Candidates who withdraw must give at least 5 working days notice, otherwise the entry fee is forfeited unless a valid medical certificate is produced.
